Providing an appropriate platform for research, capacity building and support in planning in the field of ophthalmology, vision science and eye care as well as assisting WHO in research, collection and collation of information, training in line with WHOCC terms of reference.

Vision

To act as a main research center in performing the impactful clinical and epidemiological research in the field of ophthalmology and vision science and to expand the contribution in planning for eye care at national, regional and international levels.
